It was around 8:00, and I was heading home from a competition. I didn’t know the air was contaminated with a tranquilizer, and so after a while, I became paralyzed and numb. All of a sudden, some men emerged, carried me to a truck, tied and gagged me, and headed somewhere I was totally unaware of.

I had lost all hope and was totally sad, but then I remembered my intense martial arts classes and yoga practice. With my acquired flexibility and agility, I would be able to free myself—and best of all, the tranquilizer had worn off.

I was almost done freeing myself before I heard the truck open and heard some people come down from the driver’s seat. Just before they could open the truck, I had freed myself. They couldn’t see inside the truck because there was pitch darkness. They bent to get their torch from their sack, and I swung a metal pipe—which I found at the back of the truck—at the larger man. I jumped and kicked the other man in precise regions due to my vast knowledge of anatomy.

I tried to run, but another man, unknown to me, grabbed me. I swung on him and pinned him—a precise taekwondo technique. I then struck his head on the floor in quick succession, and he fell unconscious. The man whom I struck with the metal pipe advanced toward me, and I kicked him, although he struck me on the face as well. I was bleeding now, and he surged toward me again. Then I used an ultimate move and jumped in the air—my feet finally landed on his face, and he fell motionless.

I finally ran, but my strength failed. I tripped, fell, and zoned out.

I woke up. I saw only white—very bright lights. I closed my eyes and opened them again, and I saw my parents. I didn’t know what transpired that night, but I was finally safe.

The doctors asked me what happened, and I gave them the full story. Then they went to my parents and whispered something which I could barely hear—but I heard it. It shocked me. I was in total awe!

They said to my parents, “Your son is slowly slipping. He thinks he fought off some kidnappers while he attacked the medics in the ambulance that came to carry him for the psychiatric testing.”
