“Gift! Gift! Why would my parents even name me that? I wasn’t a gift to anyone. The only way I could feel relevant as a gift to people wouldn’t just work. It’s been three years since I started my brand as a fashion designer, but my progress has been as slow as a snail. God knows I give my all, but life gives me little. Everyone always has that one day where everything turns around, and I thought mine was today. This night better pass quickly and let’s see what tomorrow holds. Maybe nothing, like usual,” she thought out loud as she lay on her bed like a defeated soldier who lost a battle.
“I am Gift Success, and I present to you my gift.” Gift paused, taking a moment to take in this moment. What a crowd! Filled with successful people in the fashion industry, they were here for her because they believed she had something to offer. Oh well. They’d better be ready! She had a lot to offer, and they were about to be served voraciously. She smiled. Gift was dressed like a queen hosting the whole town for a feast. Her look was simple yet elegant. She was wearing her brand—a lovely flared pink gown with silver heels. Who would have thought life would gift her an opportunity to afford luxury? She looked so beautiful.
“Just a month ago, I was hopeless and frustrated. Life gave me lemons, and I kept trying to make lemonade out of them, but all to no avail. However, my lemonade is ready and about to be served to you, beautiful people, where quality meets excellence.”
Gift went on, boasting about her brand and sharing her journey. She rounded up saying, “To those listening to me who are frustrated, your successful day is closer than you think. Don’t give up now. Keep going. The world is waiting. Thank you.” A round of applause erupted, continuing till it sounded like rainfall.
“Oh Jesus! It was a dream?” she grumbled and realized it was raining outside. “Well, it was a dream, but now I have a dream to fulfill this dream.” She sat up, pondering her final words in her dream.
